Debt Consolidation Loan

Got collateral? Then you can get a debt consolidation loan. That's what the American Debt Girl did. And this is her story.

Debt Consolidation Loan--American Hippie Chick Style
Once upon a time, the American Hippie Chick had a savings account. She had a very important goal--a house. When she had finally saved enough for a down payment and found the perfect mortgage, she moved into her very first house. It wasn't anything big....in fact, it was more like a cottage. A tudor-style cottage. More importantly, it was her cottage. But for all its good points, there was one bad point. She spent her whole savings on the down payment and closing costs. This was quite a chance for her to take, since one emergency could cause problems. And being a new homeowner, it was sure to happen.

Fortunately, nothing terrible happened. But the American Hippie Chick wanted to decorate. She needed lava lamps, beaded curtains, bean bag chairs and other furniture. She racked up a pretty hefty credit card bill, and then the unthinkable happened--her car broke down. The hefty repair bill finally put her at the max on her credit card. Shortly after that, her refrigerator broke and her air conditioner broke. She had to open new credit cards to get these things fixed, and pretty soon, she was at the limit on those cards, too. Just when the American Hippie Chick was thinking that buying a house was a big mistake, her sister, American Debt Girl, told her about how she got help with her debt from a debt management company. American Hippie Chick went to the debt management company her sister suggested and they told her she could get a debt consolidation loan. A debt consolidation loan is a loan made to you to pay off unsecured debts, like credit cards, medical bills and student loans. There were several good things about getting a debt consolidation loan:

You use the money from a debt consolidation loan to pay off your unsecured debts immediately
The interest rate is oftentimes almost half of what you're paying on your unsecured debts
You can be debt free in five years!

All of this was good news to the American Debt Girl. She no longer had to feel bad about buying a house because she could already reap the benefits.

American Hippie Chick also learned that she qualified for another type of plan to resolve her debt problem. If she didn't want to get a debt consolidation loan, she could enroll in a regular debt consolidation program in which no loan is made. Under this plan, the debt management company contacts your creditors to negotiate lower balances and interest rates, then they combine them into one payment that you make to the debt management company each month. Under a debt consolidation plan, you're also debt free in about five years.

Because the American Hippie Chick liked the idea of having her credit cards paid off immediately, she chose to go with a debt consolidation loan. To her, this was the best form of credit card debt consolidation. And by doing so, she lived happily ever after.

You too can get yourself all set up for a much brighter financial future when through debt consolidation loans. And you can save money too with a cheap debt consolidation loan, which can easily be found with a bit of research. You do not have to continue to let the debt rule your life. You can take over the control that it once had when you take out an unsecured debt consolidation loan.
